DbCompact is a simple utility for compacting Microsoft Access database files without the need for actually running Microsoft Access. The program is standalone so there is no need to install anything. Just copy it to whichever folder you choose, create a shortcut to it, and you are ready to go. Compacting a database on occasion is important so as to find errors which can be repaired without loss of data as well as to access to important data. A backup of the original database is made prior to compacting.
